(France, b1975) Thierry Stefanopoulos received a BS in Communication from the University of Miami in 2001. He decided to become a photojournalist after interning at the New York Times and at VII Photo Agency in Paris. As a self-taught photographer, he learned photography by walking the streets of Paris in search of the decisive moment.
In 2011, Thierry has decided to develop a long-term project on the lack of water and its access for population in developing countries. Since then, his documentary works focus on social injustices, eradication of global poverty and human rights and raising awareness on the crucial issues facing by the world today.
Several of the publications that have featured Thierry's photography include: The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, The Christian Science Monitor, The Irish Times, Bloomberg, La Tribune, Le Figaro Magazine amount others.
